AVOID THE €10 per tonne Waste Recovery Levy
Application: The levy covers materials including concrete, bricks, tiles, glass, plastic, and certain soil and stone.
Exemptions: Certain materials, such as defective concrete blocks from the Pyrite Remediation Scheme and specific non-greenfield soil, may be exempt.
Collection Method: The fee is paid by authorized waste facility operators but is expected to flow through the construction supply chain, impacting project costs
Impact to the Industry: Example cost 1 tipper truck, 4 loads per day to waste site, containing demolished stone. 20 tonnes per load, 5 days working week.
4 x 20 x 5 days = 400 tonnes a week.
